From your screen to theirs, without a call.

Shuttle records your display, a window or an area of it, with you in a round bubble in the corner, and saves an .mp4 on your Mac. Explain it once, upload it as a tutorial, and skip the meeting.

See the shot before you take it.

The window is a viewfinder: the display, window or area you picked, at its real shape, with your webcam bubble drawn where it will land in the video. Drag the bubble to a corner, pick its size, press record.

  • A whole display, a single window, or an area you drag out
  • 720p, 1080p or native, at 30 or 60 fps, in H.264 or HEVC
  • Cursor and click rings drawn into the video, if you want them

Your voice, the sound of your apps, and subtitles if you want them.

System audio and your microphone are recorded together, each one switchable, mixed with a balance slider, with optional noise suppression. Auto Subtitles writes an .srt file next to the video, transcribed on your Mac.

  • Microphone picker and level meters
  • Subtitles in 8 languages, off until you turn them on
  • Pause and resume, with no gap left in the file

Nothing leaves your Mac unless you send it.

No account, no cloud, no analytics, no tracking. Shuttle makes no network requests of its own. Recordings go to ~/Movies/Shuttle or the folder you choose, and stay there until you delete them.

  • Each permission is explained before macOS asks for it
  • For YouTube, Shuttle opens the upload page in your browser and shows the file in Finder; it sends nothing itself
  • Subtitles are made on your Mac; Apple's speech servers only if you allow them in Settings

Every tutorial, and the calls it saved you.

The Library keeps every recording with a thumbnail, one click from review, QuickTime Player or Finder. Across the top: how many tutorials, their total length, how many this month, the space they take, and the call time they saved you, by your own estimate.

  • Review with a player, file size, resolution and date
  • Reveal in Finder, share, copy, or move to the Trash
  • ⌘L shows or hides it

Free, and it stays on your Mac.
